The first thing that someone newly disabled over the age of 18 should do is apply for Social Security Disability Income (SSDI) online.

Apply to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS)

MDHHS provides benefits including the Food Assistance Program, Health Care Coverage, State Emergency Relief, Cash Assistance programs, and more.

Working While Disabled

Social Security Disability recipients can use the Ticket To Work program or special work incentives which include a Trial Work Period, Extended Period of Eligibility, Expedited Reinstatement, Continuation of Medicare, and coverage of Work Expenses.

Saving Without Losing Benefits
